Where can we find the Camiguin Island?

We can find Camiguin in the Northern Mindanao region. It is the second smallest population and land area after Batanes. This island is one of the provinces of the Philippines located in the Bohol Sea about 10 kilometers off the norther coast of Misamis Oriental in Mindanao. The capital of this province is Mambajo.

THE CAMIGUIN ISLAND

The beauty of Camiguin Island:

SUNKEN CEMETERY

As you can see, there is a large cross which means the memorialize of the departed buried there during the erupted of the Mt. Vulcan Daan in 1870’s.It is one of the favorite spot of the tourists here in Camiguin Island. It is in the middle of the sea. From a distance, one can see how lonely and solemn the place is. Entombed below the Cross are the lives lost to the history the people had been through, and place in itself already gave birth to the residents’ culture, history and tourism. If you were there, you can't miss to take a picture of the Sunken Cemetery.

ENIGMATA TREE HOUSE

A cute tree house of the Camiguin. The travelers go there to have some rest. There, they can relax because of the nice atmosphere. This is one of the nice place of Camiguin. There you can also meet new people with Backpackers' dormitory to experience the shared community living.

KATIBAWASAN FALLS

Why is it called Katibawasan? It is because the meaning of Katibawasan in Ilonggo is to overcome. There everyone is welcome to swim there as long as they know how to swim. It is ideal place to make your-self cool and fresh during hot days. We can consider this falls as one of the treasured gift from God. This is so awesome and the people in Camiguin are so proud having this kind of gift. The Waterfalls measured about 250 feet high, cascades to a rock pool surrounded by ground orchids, trees, boulders and wild ferns. . Giant ferns decorate the surrounding land, carpeting the spaces and huge trees and dropping vines provides the backdrop the falls. If you want to go there, you need to pay an entrance fee of 30 pesos per person since the falls is maintained by the province.

How to get there?

If you have your own vehicle, all you have to do is to ask or bring someone who knows that place or if ever you don't have vehicle, simply rent a vehicle and the driver will bring you there because all of the people there knows that place. I can make sure that you will enjoy your staying in Camiguin Island because of this.

MT. HIBOK-HIBOK

It is one of the active volcano in the Philippines. And it is also part of the Pacific ring of fire. It has six (6) hot springs such as Ardent Spring, Tangob, Bugong, Tagdo, Naasag and Kiyab. And because of five times eruption of this volcano, now it has three craters such as Kanangkaan Crater, site of the 1948 eruption; Itum Crater, site of 1949 eruption, and Ilihan Crater, site of 1950 eruption. As you can see, the beach is so beautiful and it feels like the beach is calling you to swim and. The sand is so white like the beaches of Boracay and Palawan. It is also one of the popular hiking in the Philippines.

THE WHITE ISLAND

As you can see, it is really surrounds by white sands. No wonder why it is called the White Island of Camiguin. It lays 1.4 kilometers off the northern shore of Camiguin Island between Barangay Agoho and Yumbing. White island in Camiguin is nothing other than a sand bar lost in the sea.

WHAT IS THE STORY OF BOHOL IN THE PHILIPPINES?

What is Bohol? And what can we found in Bohol? What makes Bohol as one of the wonders of the world? Those are the questions that we encountered in our class in history.

Last June 5-6, 2010, our company went to Bohol as our summer outing. I was so excited that time because it was my dream to have tour in Bohol. I was so happy because it was a dream come true and I am so thankful to our company because my dream came true. When we heard from our friends, family or relatives the word Bohol, we can imagine the Tarsier, the Chocolate Hills, the Floating Restaurant and many more.

What is Bohol?

Bohol is one of the provinces of the Philippines. It is located at Central Visayas. It is also one of the most tourist spot in our country. It is also the TENTH largest island in the Philippines. It consist 75 minor surrounding islands. The capital city of Bohol is the Tagbilaran City. It has 4,117.26 square kilometers and a costline of 261 kilometers long. It is the home province of our 8th president or our former president Pres. Carlos P. Garcia who was born in Talibon, Bohol on (1957-1961).

As we can sse on the map, the northeast of Bohol is the island of Leyte and the west is the island of Cebu.

What can we found in Bohol?

What can we found in Bohol are the beautiful places like Chocolate hills, The floating restaurant, Beautiful beaches, Tarsier, the Man Made Forest, the Hinagdanan Cave, the Statue of Sandugo Shrine, the different rides like Plunge and Prony one of the biggest ang longest snake of the Philippines.

Here are the pictures:

The Floating Restaurant
The Loboc river
One of my favorite in Bohol. The Floating restaurant can be found in the Loboc river. There you can eat all that you can only for 400 pesos. In the middle, you can watch a presentations of the Boholanian. They danceing, singing and paying a guitar. In the boat, there is also an entertainment like band. Indeed, you will enjoy every seconds spending on the floating restaurant. The food are so delicious. The views are so beautiful. You can see the children and other foreigners swimming on the river. It was a great experience ever in Bohol.

The Hinagdanan Cave

There you can see a bat hiding on this cave. You can also swim there if you want. The water is cold and refreshing.

Hanging Bridge
As you can see in my picture, the hanging bridge is made up of bamboo. That time is raining and the bridge is so slippery because it was made up of bamboo. There are two hanging bridge there. I've enjoy a lot in hanging bridge.

The Plunge
The Zip-line
These are the examples of the rides in Danao, Bohol. I can still remember their sayings that

" your'e not paying for the rides, you're paying for the experience..."
and i agree because it was a great experience ever.

Tarsier is small but it has a big eyes which can see clearly with a very nice vision. What makes Tarsiers' cute is their eyes.

The Man Made Forest
On our way to Hanging bridge, we drop by in the Man Made Forest. Amazing because the trees are so high and you can't say that it was only a man made forest. It was so cold here and it feels like you were in Baguio. One of the nice place in Bohol.

The Sandugo Statue

This is the Sandugo Statue. There you can see the memorable moments of Bohol. When you were there, you can see the ocean and you can see the worth of this statue to all the people of Bohol.

The Panglao Beach
Panglao beach
The Panglao beach is one of the favorite beach and resort of the guests. You can celebrate your birthday part there or your wedding and anniversaries.
