IS IT STILL SAFE TO VISIT THE COLOSSEUM OF ROME?

I was so amazed the first time I saw this picture of Colosseum of Rome. It was so wonderful and fabulous. How can man do such thing? It is really amazing to know the ability of a man. Although it is limited but still it is amazing. The Colosseum or other known as Coliseum was originally the Flavian Amphitheatre is an elliptical amphitheater in the center of the city of Rome, Italy, the largest ever built in the Roman Empire. It is considered one of the greatest works of Roman architecture and Roman engineering. Occupying a site just east of the Roman Forum, its construction started in 72 AD under the emperor Vespasian and was completed in 80 AD under Titus, with further modifications being made during Domitian's reign (81–96). The name "Amphitheater Flavium" derives from both Vespasian and Titus family name (Flavius, from the gens Flavia). That is why it is one of the seven wonders of the middle ages.

The another information about Colosseum is that it is capable of seating 50,000 spectators, the Colosseum was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles such as mock sea battles, animal hunts, executions, re-enactments of famous battles, and dramas based on Classical mythology. The building ceased to be used for entertainment in the early medieval era. It was later reused for such purposes as housing, workshops, quarters for a religious order, a fortress, a quarry, and a Christian shrine. Although in the 21st century it stays partially ruined because of damage caused by devastating earthquakes and stone-robbers, the Colosseum is an iconic symbol of Imperial Rome. It is one of Rome's most popular tourist attractions and still has close connections with the Roman Catholic Church, as each Good Friday the Pope leads a torchlit "Way of the Cross" procession that starts in the area around the Colosseum.

That is the view of the Colosseum in upper view. As you can see, it was so big and no doubt why it is capable of seating 5000 spectators. This Colosseum was used during the time of Emperor Vespasian.

The picture at my right side was the evidence that the Colosseum is one of the favorite of the travelers, guests or the tourists. Well, I can't blame them because it is really amazing and it is an honor to see it.

Rome is one of the lovely place in the world. It is also one of the romantic place of the whole world. It is my dream to go there and of course to visit the one and only Colosseum.

I can say that you're famous already if you can take a picture or if you have a picture and the background is the great Colosseum. Famous because it is not only an ordinary place but one of the seven wonders of the middle ages.
